AI can write code faster than any human. That part is no longer impressive.
What still matters is knowing what you are building, why it exists, and how all the pieces connect. AI does not understand systems, tradeoffs, or consequences. It only follows instructions. If the instructions are unclear, the output will be confidently wrong.
This is why coding has become secondary. Not unimportant, but no longer the main skill. The real work now is thinking clearly, defining problems properly, and understanding the bigger picture.
